I’m in Grading Hell right now, which makes me open to alternatives. The idea of “gamifying” university courses is intriguing.

We hated it when our kids were given “table points” in elementary school, so I have to think harder about this. But I like the idea that students can “level up” through their own efforts.
Here are some preliminary experiments and discussions. Not yet organized. If you have other suggestions, add them, and I’ll try to produce an organized list in a few weeks. (When GH is all done finally.)
